28/04/08 - The Matric Dance was a fantastic success, and congratulations and thanks go out to all of those who were involved in organising this fantastic event. The theme was 50's and 60's Twist and Shout, and the decorations were truly incredible, with chandeliers hanging from the drapes in the Memorial Hall and rows lights festooning the pathway in. The waiters were also very efficient and congrats to the Ellis guys who did their part : James Moxham, Guy Alexander, And Craig Berrange and Adam Scott.
Here are some of the photos:

Ellis has excelled in the first term of 2008, already bagging the Senior Inter-house Cricket, the Inter-House Championship Gala, the Senior Victor Lodorum for Swimming and the Open 100m Freestyle Trophies.

Work has started to pick up as the mark orders have come and gone. Our top achievers this term, academically speaking, were Stephan Maritz, Stephen Coetzee and Michael Alexander, all achieving greater than 85% of their possible points in the Industry orders.

Nick Rowlinson recently captained the Hilton to victory in the Douglas Cup last Sunday (9/03/08), see the Awards page.
